​​Member Conduct & Conflict Resolution Policy

At New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground, our mission is to foster a safe, respectful, and professional environment for artists, musicians, members, volunteers, staff, and guests. While we recognize that members may interact outside of our organization, our primary responsibility is to maintain the safety and integrity of all New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground activities, events, and facilities.

Scope

This policy applies to all members, performers, artists, vendors, volunteers, staff, contractors, and guests participating in New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground events, activities, meetings, or representing the organization.

Off-Site Conduct

New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground does not serve as an investigator or arbitrator for personal or professional disputes that occur outside of our organization or at events hosted by other venues. However, if an off-site incident creates a reasonable concern for the safety, security, or orderly operation of New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground, we reserve the right to take reasonable measures to protect our members, staff, performers, artists, guests, and property.

Expectations for Professional Conduct

All members and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner while participating in New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground activities and events.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

  • Physical violence or attempted violence.

  • Unwanted physical contact.

  • Threats of violence or intimidation.

  • Harassment or bullying, including verbal, emotional, physical, psychological, or online.

  • Retaliation against another member.

  • Disorderly or disruptive conduct.

  • Interference with staff, volunteers, performers, artists, or event operations.

  • Any behavior that reasonably creates a safety concern.

Conflict Between Members

When New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground becomes aware of a conflict between members that could affect our organization, management may:

  • Meet with the individuals separately.

  • Gather information necessary to evaluate safety concerns.

  • Document relevant communications and concerns.

  • Establish behavioral expectations for future participation.

  • Modify event logistics, scheduling, performance order, backstage access, seating arrangements, or other operational matters to reduce the risk of conflict.

  • Require members to avoid direct interaction during events when practical.

  • These actions are preventative safety measures and should not be interpreted as a determination of fault.

Inclusion & Respect

New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground is committed to maintaining a welcoming environment where individuals of all backgrounds are treated with dignity and respect.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or targeted mistreatment based on a person's race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, age, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law will not be tolerated.

All members, performers, artists, volunteers, vendors, staff, and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that contributes to a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. Differences of opinion are inevitable, but personal attacks, slurs, threats, or discriminatory conduct have no place within New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground. Violations of this policy may result in removal from an event, suspension or termination of membership, or other actions deemed appropriate by management

Safety First

Any member involved in threatening, intimidating, harassing, or violent behavior during a New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground event may be:

  • Removed from the premises immediately.

  • Suspended from future activities.

  • Have membership privileges revoked.

  • Barred from future participation at the sole discretion of New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground.

  • When appropriate, law enforcement or emergency services may be contacted.

No Retaliation

Members may not retaliate against the owners or another member  for reporting safety concerns, cooperating with an investigation, or complying with directives issued by New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground management.

Management Authority

New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground reserves the right to establish reasonable conditions for participation whenever necessary to protect the safety of members, performers, artists, staff, volunteers, and guests. Management may determine that certain individuals may not participate in the same event, rehearsal, meeting, or activity if doing so presents an unreasonable risk to safety or the orderly operation of the organization. Management reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership, or deny admission, when it reasonably determines that an individual's conduct or involvement in a violent or threatening incident creates a risk to the safety, security, or orderly operation of the venue.

Reservation of Rights

Membership in New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground is a privilege, not a guarantee of participation in every event or activity. New Hampshire Underground/Terminus Underground reserves the right to refuse admission, remove any individual from the premises, suspend or revoke membership privileges, or deny participation in any event when management reasonably determines that such action is necessary to protect the safety, welfare, reputation, or operations of the organization.

By becoming or remaining a member, each individual agrees to comply with this policy and acknowledges that failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, including removal from events or termination of membership.
